  • What is the best way to get my taxes done?
We can most efficiently prepare your taxes without an appointment. Send your documents to us and we will prepare them. You have a number of choices: Digitally send documents through ShareFile (our preferred method). Then, email your accountant when you are done (https://kkcpa.sharefile.com/Authentication/Login). If you have large files, please compress them into a ZIP file! For instructions on this, please visit this link. Email documents directly to your accountant. Text smaller documents to our phone number, 414.939.9000 Drop off documents at the office or deposit them in the back door slot (the wooden door at the end of the hall). Send your documents to us through the mail. If you desire or require an appointment, an office visit or video call requires a fee in addition to the tax preparation fee. Please note that during tax season, appointments require a larger fee.
  • What will you need from me?
A tax organizer. KKCPA emails one for each personal client before tax season. You may find our generic ones on our site under “Get Organized!”
  • How will I receive a copy of my tax return?

  • How long will it take to get my taxes done?
It depends. The duration is dependent upon the complexity, organization, and timeliness of your tax paperwork. A well-organized, early submission, results in the lowest fees and fastest completion times. We complete returns on a first come first serve basis. Exceptions are made for emergencies that may arise, like needing tax paperwork to close on a house. In general, it takes 10 days to three weeks for us to complete returns.
  • How will I know when my tax return is done?
If your return is essentially the same as previous years, we will submit it to the Department of Revenue and the IRS without contacting you. For other clients, we send a copy of your completed return through ShareFile or email along with an email or text, asking for your approval, before sending it to the IRS. If we do not hear from you within a few days, we submit the return. If you have not heard from us in a month, please call!

  • How much do our services cost?
The cost of tax preparation depends upon the complexity of your tax preparation, how organized your documents are, and the amount of communication and engagement needed to complete the return. The more prepared and concise you are, the lower the fees! For a scheduled tax appointment, there will be a fee added to your tax preparation cost.
